I have 2 Hyundai Accents, both 2006’s. One is manual and one is automatic. I would like to keep the manual and trade in the automatic, but before I do that I’d like to move the a/c kit from the automatic into the manual. Is this even possible?
It will not be easy. There’s alot more to that just swapping the compressor over. You may even need to swap radiators as well. The ECU may need to be swapped if it has any input to the compressor (newer cars sometimes cycle the AC compressor based on readings interpeted by the ECU). I don’t think it would be worth it. You’re better off trading in the manual, although you won’t get much for it since people pretty much expect AC on any car these days.
