I have a 1999 Ford Expedition with 134,000 miles on it. Six days ago I had the radiator flushed. Outside temp this week is in the 20’s. New problem started yesterday: SUV will start but will only remain started if I keep my foot on the gas pedal to maintain the engine running until the engine warms up. I’m thinking first I should replace the fuel filter, then if that doesn’t work, what do you suggest? Thanks!
Idle air control valve perhaps? It’s cleanable and may not be opening to the colder function. check under the hood to see that every thing is plugged in that should be, maybe they left something loose when serviced.
Check under the hood for disconnected vacuum hoses and wiring connectors. Perhaps something was jogged loose while the radiator was being worked on.
