Suspect Exhaust Leak

2001 Chev. S-10 4.3L. Engine. Should I be getting a Service Engine Light on and code if I have this problem?

It depends on where the exhaust leak is.

Thanks, I’m not sure where it is, or even if that is the problem, at this point I’m in the “looking for” stage. It just occured to me that I might should be getting a Light.

A Service Engine light, as opposed to a Check Engine Light, generally means that routine maintenance is due.

Have you read your owner’s manual?
Why do you suspect and exhaust leak?
