Correct, it doesn’t have the push button start.
OK, then I’m still guessing (note that word!) starter.
Do any of the dash warning lights work when the ignition is ON? Any signs of power like courtesy lights when doors are opened. You could have a power delivery problem between the battery and the main distribution panel. The answers to these questions is important to find out where the problem is at.
Yes to all of those - all the warning lights (brake warning, etc) and door open etc all come on when I turn the key

Well power is getting to the ignition switch at least since you say the warning lights turn on with the ignition. There are safety switches for the starter system. If you can get it into neutral try starting in that position. There may be other safety switches like on the brake pedal. If the brake lights don’t work then power to that switch may be out and that is causing the issue.
