The mechanic is the one to tell you the cost and it looks like you have no choice but feel free to ask the mechanic questions.

Does this particular Millenia have the fairly-rare, optional Miller cycle engine?
For the OP’s sake, I hope not because most mechanics are clueless regarding those oddball engines.
If the OP’s Millenia has a Miller cycle engine, she may need to go to a Mazda dealership for repairs.
