my daughter drives a jeep cherokee laredo. the back passenger side wheel/tire is making a weird loud rubbing sound. It also sounds like there is something metal rolling around in there. What is it? I am afraid to let her drive
If it has rear drum brakes, you might want to remove the brake drum from that side to make sure none of the brake shoe hardware has broken and is now rolling around inside the brake drum.

I have a 1999 and it does the same thing, only when I hit a bump. I assumed it had something to do with the shocks / struts. But a mechanic told me everything was was fine. I will look into this brake shoe, but it really feels like there isnt any give when I hit a bump back there and the whole jeep rattles. Looking for any other assistance on this issue
