i just bought a 95 nissan maxima w/200plus miles.2mths later we had to replace alternator&batter. now 1.5mths later i drive 1/2 miles see steam/smoke coming from from under hood.Radiator was full.temp guage never moved.one man said valve cover.He said part cheap-but time fixing it.He estimated 250 dollars.
It doesn’t take much oil leaking onto a hot part to make that smell, so you probably wouldn’t notice it on the dipstick. Try your best to follow the smoke back to the source and look for oil leaking there or above there.
