My 8-year-old suggested I email you with a question I have about my 2006 Honda Odyssey. For the past month or so it has been driving sluggishly. I had the oil changed recently, and the oil life indicator displays 70%. It has 48,000 miles on it, and according to the manual is not due for a new timing belt yet. I consistently let it warm up for a few minutes before driving. What could be the issue?
Oil changes are very important, but they are unlikely to be related to this problem.
What would be related is basic maintenance of the engine, such as replacement of the spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, etc. Check your maintenance schedule to see if any maintenance items are due or overdue, either on the basis of odometer mileage or on the basis of elapsed time.
