1998 jeep wrangler lights go dim and cranks very slowly will not start even hooked up to a charger over night same thing. All dash lights and and bells are working.
Sounds like a dead battery to me. The battery probably has enough juice to light up simple things but it takes a lot more power to start the car. I recently had the same thing. It was the battery.
I didn’t know that a battery could die that quickly. I will take it to the auto parts store and see.

The battery had a dead cell in it and could not take a full charge. Whenever you charged the battery, it would only charge enough to light up the accessories, not enough for the starter. The starter takes a lot more power than anything else.
