Slight burning smell after transmission fluid flush , changed about 5 days ago , no smoke also oil change is now semi synthetic which is new for vehicle.
Wait and see if ithe smell goes away from this mysterious unidentified vehicle. Then post back if it is still present. But supply information about the vehicle and who did the fluid change.
It is a 2016 Kia rio , im thinking the transmission fluid was overdue to be changed so it might old residue ?
Midas did the fluid change
Assume that Midas slopped a little fluid on the exhaust pipe and that it will burn off. Watch for puddles where you park it.

For future reference, most of us here would recommend using a real mechanic or even a local transmission shop for work like this. Quick-change places have a reputation for using the wrong fluid, doing the change incorrectly, and more.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was…
spilled oil. I will amend that thought to… spilled trans fluid.
