When did motor oil start getting this good? -Kevin

I’ve read some books by Bill Fisher and it seems there was some pretty good oil coming about in the 50’s,but beings I was brought up on ND Quaker State,I’m clueless,thanks -Kevin
Esso (today Exxon) came out with 10w-30 Uniflo in the late fifties…That oil set the standard at the time…
Yep, the introduction of multi-vis was a real breakthrough, I guess next one (less impact) was synthetics. The continual improvement of standards is the long-term breakthrough.
