I have an '01 Taurus that has a seatbelt that won’t retract anymore. (at least without help) Is there an easy fix for this…can the mechanism be sprayed with WD40?
Before you try any home-grown fixes, check the details of the factory warranty on the seat belts. Some manufacturers (Subaru comes to mind) give a lifetime warranty on the belt and its related hardware. Warranty details can be found in your Owner’s Manual.
