We’ve got a 2003 Saturn Vue which has a throttle problem (we think). Our mechanics, who have been reliable over the last 5 years, have looked for the part used, but this is such a common problem that they can’t find it and are reluctant to put a new one in at $1200+ dollars only to find that’s not the problem. They say there was a service bulletin on this but I can’t find any whispers of recalls, etc. The problem is most likely a sensor, but the way the car is designed, you have to buy the whole throttle body. Does anyone have any suggestions? We’ve gotten the major maintenance/timing chain done in the last year and a lot of work on the front end this year. It certainly doesn’t endear me to GM.
How about telling us what the Symptoms are?? Any check lights??
