The clutch is shot.
That’s the widely accepted test for a clutch; get the vehicle on the highway and floor it. If it revs instead of pulling, that’s the clutch slipping.
It looks like you replied to the original poster that started this thread in 2011. That is the problem with people dragging up old threads. The second person has not actually gone to a mechanic yet.

Yeah right. I doubt you even know what a transmission is. It’s that thing that makes your car go
The engine makes it go. The transmission multiplies torque, and provides a means to disconnect the drive wheels from the engine so the car can stop.
