This morning after a quick drive to the bank and out to eat. We were about to leave the car started but the gear shift wouldnt register the shift. Its stuck in Park and the car will turn on and off; the gear shift moves but the car doesnt register the shift changing. Please help dont know what to do.

You should be able to see this cable that the link refers to from under the hood, drivers side closer to the firewall side of the engine.
You may have to have a helper move the shifter inside the car…while you look of the moving part.
