A Louisiana man drove away from a police stop at 100 mph and ended up swimming away from the cops in a swamp. A local yokel convinced him that the cops were more welcoming. Must be a displaced Florida Man. Go Big Al!!

We had one a few years ago that could have involved sharks but only small ones that don’t usually attack humans unless provoked. After 2am when alcohol sales stop till 6am by state law.
West bound one way major street ends with a curve around Percival landing at the end of Budd inslet. 1st gen Acura Integra was doing 90+ by the bottom of the hill and the landing. Crashed through a planter and a 4ft railing landing in 30ft of water enough that the license plate was the only part of the car visible through the water at first light liveaboard boaters close by heard.the crash and saw both occupants get our of the car. The city and the port had to use a crane to get the car out of the water. Once they found the suspected driver they confirmed no injuries but it was hours later. From going that route at 5:30am the traffic lights stay green the length of that street
Can speculate where they were drinking but that bar was closed down since then for multiple violations and re developed into a tribe run addiction treatment qnd medical complex built closer to the road than the former buildings were.
I’ll insert a Florida Man story… really a Florida Boy story… No DUI, just speeding at double the limit in the middle of the day on one of the busiest roadways in my county.

Well, yeah but we only had about three cars in town. I remember one time on Halloween we watched the police car come to a quick stop from our perch on top of a hill. Instead of running the four blocks home, we went through the woods around the east side, then down to town. We came home from the west side and split into twos to not be noticed, then singles through the back yards and home. It was about a five mile diversion but worth it. Hard to hike through the woods at night laughing so hard. We all had guns but just for hunting.
