I have a 2017 Mazda CX-5, and noticed that when I got home this afternoon the engine fan was still running when I shut the car off. The temp is reading normal. It ran for about 3 minutes then finally turned off.
I can’t find anything in the owners manual
Is this normal? It is hot and humid today. I’ve never seen it do this before.
Depending on the coolant temperature, the radiator cooling fan can run after the engine is turned off.
This is especially true if the AC was being used.

I own a 2014 Mazda 6. I can verify that this is completely normal for a current generation Mazda when the car has been run hard and hot. I live at the top of a mountain and my fan stays on when I park on a hot day after driving up the mountain at 60 mph.
