Royal Purple ATF oil

This oil is $11.15 a quart, is it worth it?

probably not. Even for synthetic ATF it’s pricey. Other full synthetics offer the same protection and cost half as much.

Many of us buy the oil that meets the specs in our vehicle’s owners manual (at about $3.00/quart), and change it according to the manual’s recommendations.
Doing that gives engine life of 200,000-300,000 miles and often much more.

It’s difficult to see how expensive Royal Purple oil could improve that.

For what its worth, some racers use it. Not sure how much is hype and how much “better” it is. Unless you are racing, I would not bother.

No.

No. There are other brands of synthetic fluid and they are cheaper.
