My backup camera has gone rogue. It works sometimes. It’s upside down sometimes and it says see dealer sometimes. The dealer wants $700.
I wonder if there’s a bracket or something that it’s supposed to be mounted to that’s broken (maybe it somehow rotates on its own to go upside down…). Do you have a different dealership that’s close by that could look at it for less than that? Alternatively you could just ignore it too…
There is a service bulletin to replace the rear video camera for this problem. The camera is $418 plus $40 for other parts.
