Can’t find an access to adjust the rear break shoes down to remove the brake drum. Any suggestions ??
You will be out the door at a brake shop in about an hour and forty-five minutes. I don’t always do my own brakes. Too much work for too little saving.
Are there not any perforations on the backing plate?
Many vehicles have perforated slots and the metal tang must be knocked out with a hammer and punch first.
The drum should be removed and the tang also removed before readjusting the brakes.
Rubber plugs are sold at most car parts stores to fill in the slots.
