Great thoughts, George! Especially about the possibility of one of the evap valves not working (but not leaking). Someone else mentioned the possibility of it just being a crack that could be fixed with epoxy.
I will note, though, that the mechanic said he saw smoke coming up from the valve when he did the second smoke test. So that eliminates the possibility of it just being a computer error. Still, great thoughts nonetheless.
