WHAT OTHER THAN REPLACING THE IDLER PULLEY FOR A/C COULD KEEP THE BELT FROM COMING OFF THE COMPRESSOR

Check the entire pulley system. All components have to be tight and all pulleys must be aligned to each other. Make sure the compressor is not locked up. Don’t turn the pulley…turn the actual compressor shaft. Beyond that you will need a good mechanic to get you back on track as well as your drive belt.

i checked all of it and the compressor is not locked up. its not kicking it off anything else other than the compressor and at first its one rib then after it runs a while it gets worse
