Redightsiren catching up to a diesel pickup. He blasts so much black smoke we can hardly see!

Wish I could post the emergencyehicle’s dash cam video.
No need to accelerate.
Just signal and change lanes to lane 2.

What is wrong with his pickup that it produced so much air pollution?

Switched the air vent from outside air to Recycle inside air.

The truck is either broken dumping excess diesel fuel into the engine or it has been modified to do this. It is called Rolling Coal.

States with a concern for air quality standards usually have a system to report smoking vehicles.

Nature seeks balance. You have just discovered your purpose person. You are on the extreme side of environmentalism, he is on the opposite side. You average each other out

I’d be fine with coal rollers having their trucks crushed.

@Robert-Gift is definitely extreme

No doubt about that

About it…

He could tell you were a tree hugger and was just F’ing with you… You annoy him, he annoys you kind of thing…

Maybe he has read your STUPID run on words BS nonsense that is 200% uncalled for and many on here has asked you many many times to STOP DOING IT, and is paying you back or something…

Personally I’d also call this “Rolling Stupid”.

But I’d apply that to people who drive heavy duty diesel pickup trucks all the time with no load or trailer, and who pay big money to burn excess premium fuel to do so. Also see: most owners of “modified” or “upgraded” Jeeps, which never apparently leave the pavement.

Alas, I’ve become grumpy in mid-life, so feel free to ignore me. And stay off my lawn!

He does not know I am a registered tree-hugger and Greenie unless no siren reveals my noise pollution obsession.

Is he not clogging his diesel oxidation catalyst, particulate filter, catalyticonverter and muffler vanes?
The diesel pick up I drove produced very little smoke. But I always accelerated gently.

Most likey his has been modified and could very easily be putting down 800 HP and 1200-1500 torque or more and still be a daily driver, and getting decent fuel mileage for what it is, very likely he has straight piped it…

Oh, you would be surprised, there can be signs if you know what to look for sometimes… I will just have to leave it at that…

When I am driving normally, many think the gray RX350 is a law enforcement vehicle and slow to the speed limit.
When they see I am a nobody, they accelerate away.

Yes, he probably straight-piped it. He was in a rural area where you can get away with that.
He spewed more smoke than my Great Uncle’s steam locomotive!
The Pennsylvania Railroad wanted their locomotive crews to lower co$ts and burn coal as efficiently as possible. So it was light gray smoke out of the smoke stack.

I have never confused a RX350 for a LEO… lol
Although it could have been seized in a drug bust…

And all that black smoke for those few seconds out in the rural area will not measurably effect the environment… Now if millions of them were doing it in a small area, then yes… Our local drag strip up in the hills has not affected anything, same wild life as in areas away from it… Once you are off grounds (short drive), you can no longer smell the fumes or anything… and plenty of TREES, same as any other place out in the deep woods, way more trees there then in any neighborhood… Besides, most of those smoke rollers are country boys that will spend most of there lives on farm land… at least in my area… Work hard, play hard…

(Doing another overnight oil change.)

In the rearview mirror, the light bar makes the SUV resemble some law enforcement vehicles.
Frustrating when performing a stat delivery and drivers slow below the speed limit.

When called on a long distance routine delivery I removed the light bar for less wind drag and people not slowing.
After a 367-mile emergent transport I removed the light bar and hopefully got better gas mileage returning home.
