Definitely, it’s compatible, I agree. The red rubber grease predated the silicone, and was developed for brake work it seems. Silicone grease is much more widely used, replacing the red stuff to a large part. I was just noting the grease doesn’t have elastomers/rubber in it. Just like silicone grease has silicone oil, not elastomer.
