2001 Suzuki Vitara Style LL with optional 4-wheel drive. Tire size P235/60R16. When making a sharp turn in reverse, either direction, rear wheels act as if they are locked when car in 2 wheel drive.

Seriously, it sounds like the either the rear differential is still in 4WD or the rear differential isn’t functioning properly. You should take it in to a mechanic to get it checked out.
How many miles are on this car? When was the differential fluid changed last?
