Radiator replacement - reuse old fittings?

Hi.

I’m replacing the radiator on a 2000 S10 Blazer 4wd with 95k miles. I’m in the process of removing the old one. The transmission and oil cooler lines are attached to brass (?) fittings with a c-clip. The fittings in turn screw into the radiator. Each fitting has a internal o-ring to seal against the tubing.

Can these fitting be resused with the new radiator or should they be replaced? Napa carries the fittings. I really don’t want to do this more than once.

Thanks,

Ed B.

I got the radiator today, the trans fittings were included, but not the ones for the oil cooler. Summit couldn’t give me a definite answer if the oil fittings are supposed to be included. Tomorrow, I’ll call the manufacturer (Proline/Modine). I have a feeling I’m going to have to go to Napa or the dealer for new ones.

By the way, Budd2049, the PB Blaster worked like a charm on the fittings.
