Why does the lock release button get stuck?
I don’t mean to be impatient, but how exactly are we supposed to come up with anything resembling an intelligent answer to this? You don’t tell us what kind of car it is, which position the button is getting stuck in, if it’s the electric lock button or the actual lock. . . Give us some details and we can try to help.
It’s a 2006 Kia Sephia. The problem is always early in the morning when trying to move the lock release button from park to drive.
I guess the Park lock release button on a 2002 Honda Accord LX Sedan V6 3.0 liter automatic. Check that the brake lights are working. If they are, listen for the ‘thump’ in the shifter console when you press the brake pedal. If there is no ‘thump’ or the shifter still is not releasing, you will have to get a mechanic to look at the mechanism.
