Driving along this morning, I noticed that the instrument panel on our 2004 Prius was completely blank, as if the power was off. Couldn’t see the speedo, the odo, the gear indicator, etc. As we learned later, the mileage accumulated also was not increasing; we’d gone about 10 miles, it said 1.4, and the cruise control did not work.
What could cause this? Am I headed for a $4,500 repair? The car ran fine, and it was back to normal after an hour or so.
