My 2000 Hyundai Sonata GLS has a Solenoid Valve (“D” I believe) error; I am trapped in 3rd gear. I changed the input speed sensor and a bad coil pack prior to getting down to this last error. As I understand it, the error can mean that the valve is either faulty or not plugged in all the way. Can someone give me a ball park estimate on what this type of job should take, being that AAMCO and my friendly Hyundai dealer don’t want to call me back with a rough estimate? I had a good mechanic take care of the other problems before but the solenoid valve was outside of his expertise for hyundai’s.
