Hi. I have a bmw 325i. One day power steering was making noise, now nothing and hard steering. No leaks, reservoir full I got the car used. I noticed the fluid was dark brown and coming out the top. Since it stop making noise is pump gone?
There have been reports of the power steering pump shaft shearing off on BMW’s, causing a loss of steering assist.
