Not a lot of fuel. Not sure what may fly out… Assume there is a spring or pushrod under it, not sure if there is but be ready IF there is so you don’t lose it. Nothing special except a gasket or O-ring… My Audi had an O-ring. A little oil on the O-ring before you install it, don’t leave it dry.

Have you watched any youtubes that show how to replace it?

Any time you deal with direct injection, you need to replace ALL high side seals, gaskets and lines you disturb and/or loosen, afaik And you need to look up the torque specs and strictly adhere to them . . . no ifs ands or buts. No guessing

Is doing TDC absolutely necessary? I’ve seen quite a few videos for HPFP being replaced on Honda accord 2015 and CRVs and few talk about setting the piston #1 to TDC (Top Dead Center)? Is this extremely crucial or would be it relatively ok skipping this step? Thank you.
