My mechanic tells me that I need to replace the lower control arms on my 2001 Grand Prix. Is this a job a novice mechanic could do on his own? Any special tools needed?
This is not really a job for a novice mechanic. There is just too many procedures in this task that have to be done right. You will need to have a front end alignment after the repair anyway and that’s not a DIY task at all.
