My car has been overheating, the thermostat, housing gasket, hoses and waterpump have been changed a number of times. But it is still overheating. The radiator is cold on one side and hot on the other, any suggestions? A clog maybe, I just don’t know.
Yes - you have a clogged radiator. Either throw a new one in there or take it to a radiator shop where it might be cleaned out.
Isn’t this something that can be easily with a hose, if I take the radiator out of the vehicle? I just spent over $600.00 in the last 4 months having this problem worked on. No one mentioned this, not sure I trust these mechanics anymore.
Depends on the type of clog. A water hose may not do the job. A radiator shop with an ultrasonic bath would be the best route. A replacement radiator is the quickest and easiest.
