i have a 1986 4runner with over 273000 miles on it and it’s developing some problems. first, there’s a kind of a gravelly ticking noise coming from the trasmission when slowing down in gear or at a stop with the clutch out. seems worse in 1st through 3rd. second, fuel gauge works only when tank is at least 3/4 full. after that it just drops to e. the low fuel warning light still seems to work normally.
