My wife’s 02’ Olds Aurora climate control is acting up. When the car is started the blower delays running for minutes. Sometimes 5 to 15 minutes.
The system works great once it’s up & running. What can cause this waiting to start the blower fan?
I replaced the hvac control module (has knobs & setpoint you touch) with a used one & the same delay was there.
It sounds like you have a problem with the blower motor. The only way to find out for sure is to have it checked out. I would see a good independent mechanic.
The other possibility is the blower control module but when mine failed, the blower was on all the time even when the car was off. $25 at the junk yard and about a half hour to put it in. When its not working, if you can test for voltage at the blower plug, if it has voltage the blower is bad and if not then I’d suspect the module.
