Old Chrysler

Tom suggested that a carberator rebuild for the fellow with the old Chrysler with 14K miles and hesitating would fix the problem and give him many miles of driving pleasure with this monster. I fully agree with this additional note of caution. About 20 years ago on of my nephews inherited his grandfather’s 20 year old Chevy with about 30K miles on it. After about 6 months of “normal” driving the transmisson failed, needed a rebuild. A few months later the engine blew a cylinder.

Old cars with few miles are used to that kind of driving. If he wants to get any milage out of that Chrysler he needs to treat it very gently for several thousand miles, slowly breaking it in to “normal” driving.
