Oil vanished

I have an Oldsmobile 455 on my boat. I recently put the boat back in the water, checked the oil, which had been changed when it was hauled a year ago, the dipstick read normal.

I ran the boat for about 45 minutes and it stopped. Next day I checked the oil and it needed two quarts!

I heard a tinkling noise and then clunk…push rod broken.

The engine used to have a regular exhaust (dry stack out through the pilot house. When it was out of the water I converted it to a wet exhaust. Could the oil have been sucked out through the exhaust as water mixes with the exaust gases?

if the push rod broke check for a hole in the block.if you find a hole in your block thats were the oil went.
