Oil pump

Is there a fuse or an air line that controls the oil pressure guage that may be bad instead of the oil pump?

The pump does not control the gauge. There is a sensor, ofter referred to as a sender, that tells the gauge how much oil pressure there is.

Thanks…I’ll check it out.

On Fords, the “gauge” is really just an idiot light. The gauge needle never moves, except from zero to mid-scale when the engine starts…Now Rangers (Mazda) might be different…

A mechanic can install a direct reading gauge on the engine and eliminate all guesswork about oil pressure…

You need 10psi pressure for every 1000 rpm in engine speed…

Thanks
