My '07 Hyundai does only around 100 miles per month, city driving. How often should I change the oil?
City driving is harder on engines than highway driving. Follow the “severe service” recommended maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual.
I have a 93 plymouth that I put perhaps 200-250 miles a month on. I change the oil every six months with the cheapest stuff on sale at the store that I can find that sill meets the requirements for the car. You’d be surprised how dirty it can get with low miles but city driving.
Check your owner’s manual and use the time vs miles interval. I suspect that is 6 months, but check to verify. Using the severe service guideline would keep you well within any warranty limits. For warranty purposes, you need to stay within Hyundai guidelines.
