The needle starts going crazy showing speed way more than you are going at.
We checked the fuses for the panel, they seem to be OK. Any other ideas?
My speedo and other gauges got a little crazy with a 96 car when it was about 8 years old. Cleaning two ground wire connections on the bell housing took care of it. The connections were corroded due to road salt. When you put them back together, coat things with a little silicone grease.
