Several times recently the speedometer, tachometer and temperature gages on my 2003 Ford Escape will suddenly and spontaneously spike then dip all the while the vehicle rolls along as if nothing has happened. All other dashboard gages, radio etc do not seem to be affected when this happens. I cannot figure out what may be causing this to happen. Any ideas?
It’s possible the instrument cluster has a loose solder connection but hasn’t parted from the board.
Truthfully, I’m guessing. I’m certain those in the know on this board will set me straight if I am wrong.
Roadrunners suggestion would be first, but there also could be voltage stabilizer that may be going bad.
