Odd Sound on Fast Left Turn

I have a 2008 Grand Prix with about 55k miles that I bought in June of this year. It runs great, except…

When I make a left turn and accelerate quickly, it makes a noise that sounds very similar to the engine revving – it rises and falls with my acceleration – but it’s more high-pitched than the engine noise. It only starts when I turn left, never right, and it only starts when I accelerate relatively hard – if I just ease on the pedal while turning left, it doesn’t do it. But once the noise starts, it doesn’t go away until I shut the car off again…it keeps rising and falling in tune with the engine, but at a higher pitch.

Any ideas??
