one other thing does living at 7,000 ft. make a difference??
If you consistently drive at a higher altitude, the engine’s octane requirement is actually somewhat lower. However, I would assume that you do come down from the mountain periodically, and at lower altitudes you will experience both less power and lower mpg with regular gas, making it not much of a bargain.
