I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztec when the car is sitting idle no noise from engine but whne driving it is noisy but dont know if it is engine or bad hub bearings . the RPM gage stays on 2 and the engine temp gage always stays on the center mark
A noise? What kind of noise?
Is it a grinding, or a whine, or a shriek, or a rumble, or…?
You have to be more specific regarding the type of noise.

I am assuming that you are trying to tell us that the tachometer does not go above 2,000 RPMs.
If you cannot get the engine to rev beyond 2k RPMs, then there are some serious engine issues, but I am not sure if this is what you meant.
You really need to make things much clearer regarding the noise and all other symptoms if anyone is going to be able to come up with some answers with substance. In addition, how about telling us the odometer mileage and the maintenance history (in detail) for the past couple of years?
