H E L P - WEATHER CHANGING !
1999 6 CYLINDER OLDSMOBILE BRAVADA SUBN BOUGHT “USED” IN 2006 @ 45,329 MILES
You need to be more specific as to what the problem is??
And I guess “no heat” is the best you can do for a description? Take it to a mechanic.
Maybe the car will make heat but your blower fan is not functioning.
Maybe you are low on antifreeze/coolant.
Maybe you have a plugged heater core.
Maybe you have a bad thermostat that is stuck open.
Maybe you have an air blend door that is stuck.
…
So if that’s all you can say, then just find a local, owner-operated shop and go say “no heat” to them.
Alice, here are some questions that might help us.
- Does your blower fan work?
- Can you get any heat at all? By changing the temp control does it stay the same cold temp all the time or does it vary from cold to slightly warm?
- Does the control that changes the air from the dashboard vents to the feet vents to the windshield vents work?
- Is your check engine light on?
- Does the engine run rough, especially at idle?
- Have you recently experienced a drop in gas mileage?
- Do you have the correct level of coolant in your radiator and the overflow bottle?
- Do you have a temp gauge on your dashboard, and if so, how does it behave from a cold start as the engine warms up and you begin driving.
