I hyave a 1980 jeep CJ-5 (renegade) with a 150000 miles on it About 2 years ago Whwn I park it for 2 or more days the fuel does get to the carb and I have to crank the engine for about 5 min before it starts.I have changed to card and the fuel pump and it still does the same thing Is it time to change th3e fuel tank.Also the gas gauge stopped working about the time this fuel problem started.
The fuel hoses are losing vacuum when the fuel pump “sucks” for fuel. Change the fuel hose and use good clamps.
