I have a 93 nissan maxima SE and recently replaced master cylinder and slave cylinder. 3 to 4 weeks later all the fluid has leaked out of the master cylinder resevoir. i saw some of it under the front bumper. What could be causing this?
Did you do the work or was it professionaly done at a shop? How likely is it that a installation error was made? it sounds very likely. This does sound like a DIY er as you don’t mention taking it back to the shop.
Where’d you get the replacement parts? A poorly rebuilt slave cylinder could have been leaky from the start. Next time check the level after a day, then a week. Check all your fluids once a month.
Did you close the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder?
