After months of smelling exhaust in my car (mechanic never smelled it so it’s been dismissed), my 1999 Nissan Altima wouldn’t start this morning. It’s not the battery - sounds like it wants to start, but even gassing it doesn’t get it in motion. Haven’t taken it to the shop yet. That’s step 2. Any suggestions?
Skip Step One. Go Directly To Step 2.
There are so many possibilities, where does one begin? This could be tough to diagnose in person, but through skinny little wires?
If you should get it going a little bit, an auto parts store like Advance, Autozone, etcetera, can check for any set codes that might provide a clue as to what system has malfunctioned. Write the exact codes down. Post them here.
