VW is reportedly planning on producing a small pickup in the US w/in a couple of years.
Somehow, I doubt that enough people would be interested in the VW, rather than the excellent Honda Ridgeline or even the Ford Maverick, but… you never know.
And, for fans of Mitsubishi, they are also planning on selling a pickup in the US, but–of course–it’s not really a Mitsu design.
Concept is like a maverick with a mid-gate. Just needs a us spec power train. For south America but VW could build them in the USA alongside the atlas. The mitsubishi is a case of using a partner allowing the US dealers a truck to sell. Nissan undoubtedly has capacity to build them. Currently 2 Mitsubishi dealers in western WA when there were at least 8 when the Mirage was under $10k. Mexico gets the L200 truck
