New Cars with Starter Button and key fob (No key)

Well Bill, this is why consumers need to be educated, especially when making large purchases. And regardless of how smart your purchase was, it is critical to take the time to understand how your very fancy transportation machine (car) works. They all have this great little book in the glove box that tells you how everything in your car works. As a special bonus it even includes all of your maintenance requirements. The REAL requirements and not the ones that the dealer wants you to use.

Sorry that I left out a few words, but actually your point has merit. My owner’s manual has 752 pages and the owner’s manual supplement for the radio is an additional 427 pages. Together they may well be able to break the window.

After checking my manual, that’s the way our Acura is. Battery fails, touch the back of the fob to the start button, then push start within 10 seconds.
